Lipodissolve: Safe or not?

Do you want to try Lipodissolve? It is also commonly known as mesotherapy, lipolysis, injection lipolysis or lipostabil. It is popularly being known right now as the non surgical treatment alternative for liposuction. It's becoming to be a main topic for effectively losing weight nowadays.

What is Lipodissolve?
Lipodissolve or Injection Lipolysis is a controversial cosmetic procedure in which drug mixtures are injected into patients with the goal of breaking down fat. It is a mixture that typically includes phosphatidylcholine/deoxycholate (PC/DC), multivitamins, alpha lipid acid, enzymes and plant extracts.

An investigation was done in 1966 which directly explains how the mixture of PC/DC attributes to losing weight. Investigators found out that the intravenous administration of PC-containing solutions that are used in the treatment of blood disorders has the effect of dissolving fat emboli. Later, a drug formulation called Lipostabil containing 5% PC and 4.75% deoxycholate (DC) was approved in Germany and used in the treatment of fat embolism. The cocktail being used varies for every doctor that administers the chemical to their patients. Most of the individual components are not FDA approved.

How is it given?
Lipodissolve is injected as a chemical cocktail into the fatty layers of skin. Its main goal is to remove the fatty deposits at the site of injection. For a period of 3-4 weeks, the chemical injected will begin to break down the fatty cells and will then be absorbed by the body. There are several theories about where the fat goes. Some researchers suggest it migrates to other areas of the body with fat cells, including the arteries. The amounts of fat are so minuscule, however, that it will not cause problems. Others believe the melted fat is excreted from the body.

After the first session, it is recommended to repeat after 4-6 weeks to see optimal results.

Is it recommended?

Since most of the chemical used in the mixture are not FDA approved, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) recently made their own study and research for Lipodissolve. Severa participants undergoes the Lipodissolve treatment in their abdomen up to four sessions that has eight weeks intervals. Series of examination were done and they found out that after the treatment, Lipodissolve banished one centimeter of fat on the treated side. Minor effects such as bruising, red spots and tolerable pain was shared by participants.

Their next step is to follow on each participant's progress for a longer period of time and to study the treatment on larger group of people.

With all the potential problems and not a lot of positive and safe results, before considering Lipodissolve, we urge do extensive reading and research. It would also help a lot to contact your doctor on the latest updates on Lipodissolve.

My first visit at Dermclinic SM North branch at the Annex building. I waited for a few minutes before the receptionist told me to proceed to one of the rooms. I was accompanied by one of their staff.The dermatologist asked a few questions, examined my face and gives me clear instructions and introductions for the appropriate treatment for me. She advised me to undergo GLYCOLIC PEEL. It would be a weekly session and costs 2500 for each session. My face would be cleansed first and then she would personally do the deep cleaning of my face, removing white heads (pricking) and applying the peeling chemical on my face. I was very clear about having a moderate or gradual peeling, something that is not very disturbing and alarming as I would have to go to work daily.

I was instructed to wash my face first. I was instructed to lie down on a clean, well presented single bed so the attendant can do the cleaning. I was anxious and nervous, I was thinking of the pricking pain and was asking questions to her.

She proceed with the cleaning, it was relaxing. And then applied mask to my face and let it stay for 10 minutes. After removing the mask, my face was placed under heat moist which I think is to open my pores for deep cleaning later.

The whole cleaning session is superb, I was able to relax since each customer has it's own room for their treatment. Privacy is guaranteed and we were attended by respectful, warm staff. After about 30 minutes of cleaning session, I proceed to one of the rooms and waited for the dermatologist.

A few minutes, I was attended by Dr. Maria Pamela, she was warm and has friendly approach. She does answers my questions happily and I felt overwhelmed by her treatment. We then proceed to the painful part of my visit. She removed blackheads, whiteheads and nodule forming acne. It was advisable to do this procedure as often as possible (weekly) so that the blackheads and whiteheads can be removed and will not clogged the pores that could eventually form an acne. It took half an hour for her to finish this procedure and then applied the glycolic peeling chemical to my face. It was stinging and itchy since I just finished the pricking one and my face feels numb as well. My face has spots of clotted blood almost all over since she has to removed all of visible whiteheads.

After resting for awhile and making sure that redness subsides a little, I was given the prescription and bought the Nuderm products that I would have to use for my daily regimen.

For my first visit, I spent 5, 455. For my next weekly visit, I just need to pay for the session itself. I was looking forward for my next session, bringing with me the courage and hope that someday, my battle with acne will be successful:-)

The other side of my world. This is my work, although not really in this unit, but this got a good view. Working as a nurse, as a pediatric nurse to be exact is what I do full time. Here in the Philippines, you'd be amazed that thousands of nursing graduates cannot find a decent nursing job. It's the reality I have been aware of some 3 years ago. More nurses, few hospitals. Equation that made most of nursing graduates fall under different kinds of jobs.

I was lucky that I was able to work in one of our government hospitals which offers stable job and above minimum salary. I can say how proud I am because I was able to experience job hunting few years ago. I hope some people would realize that taking up this course won't promise dollar earning job at your doorsteps the day after passing the board examination. It's a different story, a whole lot different to what I envisioned my career life would be.

Time plan. I had that after graduation. Few years of work experience in Ph, then before turning 30 years old, I should have been in a different country, earning dollars and living the LIFE I dreamed of. But, hey! It would be a year and just some few months before my time plan expires and I am still here, working nothing at all to achieve the dream of my dreams. Reality! That's what I call it. Things happened, I found a stable job here, compensates well, comfortable environment, love my work and contented. That's just a dream fulfilled right?

New time plan: Live my life happily, takes my time and take things slowly.

Could dermclinic be my savior?

It was last week that I decided to call a branch of Dermclinic at SM North to be scheduled for the next day. I was excited and nervous at the same time, that finally I have the budget to start my treatment, but above all, I have the confidence and feeling of security to asked for professional help.

Over the counter anti acne:

Name it and just maybe, I have tried them All! It's not exaggeration but what can a girl do if from the moment she woke up in the morning, she would immediately looked in the mirror to "examine" her nightmares. Waking up to face a nightmare?? Yes, that is true. That is how I felt. I would listen, reads, and emphatise with womens every desire to have radiantly, impossible clear skin.

I would be with my dermatologist anytime this week to have my treatment. I made sure that I would be having consecutive off from work so that I would not have to go to work fresh from my treatment. I knew and heard a lot of stories that it may not look good few days after the treatment.

I am hoping that this would be the answers to my prayers!! I would try to keep posted on every development as I go along the way.

Teens=Acne.

Quite acceptable. For my fist few years after teenage days, I was welcomed with occasional zits, redness, blemishes and dark spots. This may sound unacceptable since these days, TEENAGERS are also welcomed in the self-esteem alertness. While one is trying to look good, having acne just won't allow you to feel good about yourself.

But then again, as we all know, acne is brought about by changes in hormones, environment, stress related and way of living. One must strive much harder to accept this fact and do something about it!
Factors that attributes to acne:
Oily skin = checked
Monthly period = checked
Stress = checked
28 years old = checked ( but this is unfair!)

Okay, yes, I have accepted and experienced and passed my teen age years. Along with photos of every occasion, every event in my life and every happening. It's just a part of me. But, come on, I am 28 years old!
I have been battling with acne that appears on and off my teen age, young adulthood and adult life for goodness sake.

As I go through my college pictures, graduations, birthdays and special events, I noticed that even though I don't pay much attention, it has been a part of me. That's why I decided to asked for a professional help that promises me to have clear, genuinely smooth and beautiful skin. It may have taken a while to decide for this, but I know that now is the right time.

Maybe soon, I would be a much happier, contented 28 year old.

I have been busy with some stuff from work. I am working now on Odesk as a freelancer and, boy, I enjoy every moment of it!
Steps of achievement:

Profile making:
since i hardly know anyone that works from Odesk, it was hard for me to start my profile. I back read on a forum about starting at Odesk and it did helped me a lot to compile information that is needed to be placed and highlighted at my profile.
What are the skills that needs to be posted???
This is tricky. I just know how to type fast, search the internet and that's all. Is that the only thing I would include in my skills? Well, anyway, I am not an I.T. expert at all. A nursing graduate limits your skills in to this kind of things so I would just go on try my luck!!

Applying for a job? Where would I start? It was hard to land a job for my first few days, spending hours, clicking, navigating through the site, reading forums, comments, testimonials, making sure Odesk is a legit site. Of course, I am aware that there are some that will asks for payment just to register, but I found out that Odesk is 100% legit.

So did I go on, applying through transcription jobs for days, being declined for a million times, but hey, I was enjoying it! I further knew that I would, one day, would have a job fits my skills.

Jessie..I won't forget her. She is the first person that I was able to work with at Odesk. It turns out that it's her 1st time at Odesk too and needs transcription jobs. Being my first job, it had it's own bumps along the way, but she was able to helped me and, voila, I managed to finished it and received wornderful feedback from her.

Then i knew, that , yes, we can start and land job at Odesk it one has the true passion for it!

so much for my new tag, i'm loving it! I would be back soon to post a long one kase inaantok na ako eh, i came from work and sleepy na ako. I just want to start making this blog, my own blog para the next time i would log in, ma pag aralin ko how this works. This is new to me, pero this looks exciting..!! Any way, my title is inspiring noh? Gusto ko something that sounds cool, pero formal, and at the same time catchy.. But since i am soo sleepy na, this one is the first thing that comes to my mind.
